Despite the poor weather, Farnborough played in a football tournament against St Nicks and Harris Shortlands on Thursday 16th November. They played really well and won both games.

Pegasus class got to think like archaeologists on Thursday 9th November when they visited the British Museum. First the children took part in a workshop, looking at artefacts that had been found in a tomb. They had to work together to identify each tomb find. Children from Year 6 went to Cooper’s School to take part in the Bromley 3 vs 3 Basketball Tournament. They played against 6 other schools and scored lots of baskets, representing the school excellently.
On Tuesday 14th November, children from Years 4, 5 and 6 competed in the Bromley Primary Schools Swimming Gala. They all swum brilliantly and represented the school in an exemplary manner.
On Thursday 9th November, Year 5 visited the Al-Emaan Centre to find out more about Islam. Sisters Fozia, Arem and Farheen made us very welcome and told us lots about Islam and what happens in a mosque. It was an excellent trip and really helped with our knowledge about Islam.
The Farnborough Girls team played in a tournament at the Crystal Palace training ground. They played really well and made it to the final. Well done, girls!
On Friday afternoon, the Year 6 Girls netball team played some fantastic netball against 8 other schools. They showed brilliant teamwork and resilience – well done!
Year 5 braved the bad weather and went up to London on the train to visit the Ancient Greek exhibits at The British Museum. We also had an excellent workshop where we got to handle replica artefacts and try to work out what they were.
On Tuesday 10th October Reception had a visit from the Police. They were given the opportunity to wear different Police helmets from over the years and ask lots of questions!
On Wednesday 11th October Children in years 1, 2 and 3 had fun improving their scooting skills in a traffic free space. They were given some safety tips when scooting, practised their scooting and even tried a few tricks! The sun was shining and it was a very enjoyable session for all!
