Year 5 went up to London on the train to visit the Ancient Greek exhibits at The British Museum. We also had an excellent workshop where we got to handle replica artefacts and find out about Athenian democracy.

Farnborough hosted the ESFA Small Schools football tournament for Orpington on Thursday. The boys football team did really well in their first tournament of the season. They finished second, having won 2 games.

On Tuesday 14th October, Year 6 enjoyed visiting the Natural History Museum to finish their Planet Pandemonium topic. Year 5 visited the Al-Emaan Mosque to find out more about Islam. Hamad, Rahila and Raz did an excellent job explaining about the 5 Pillars of Islam, how the Mosque is used for prayers and what Ramadan and Hajj are.

Girls from Year 5 and 6 took part in a touch rugby tournament today. The girls did really well switching from tag to touch rugby and won all 3 of their games. We had a wonderful time with our Reception parents at the Teddy Bears’ Picnic! It was a lovely afternoon filled with fun on the slide, tasty snacks, and lots of laughter. Thank you to everyone who came. It was a very special time shared with our favourite teddies!

Girls from Year 5 and 6 played in a football tournament today. They all played really well and represented the school admirably.
