On Wednesday 19th April Pegasus did their “daily mile” by walking to Crofton Roman Villa in Orpington. We learnt how the villa was excavated and how the inhabitants lived. We were able to handle and draw some Roman artefacts from this former farm. We spent some time creating a mosaic using a pattern and small tile pieces or ‘tessera’ just like the Romans did! We also took some rubbings of Roman army figures before heading back to school for lunch. It was great fun to learn how the Romans lived in Orpington!
