Dear Parent/Carers,
As mentioned in my last newsletter the school council were busy choosing which charity they would like to focus on this Christmas. The children have decided that they would like to support the Bromley Food Bank at this time of year.
Therefore, instead of the traditional monetary donations given at the end of every Christmas play performance, we will be asking families to donate as many items as they can from the list below. Using these items the Food Bank staff will make Christmas hampers for families in need at this time of year.
Items required are as follows:
- Small Jars of Coffee
- UHT Fruit Juice
- Tinned Ham
- Tinned Pink Salmon
- Yule Log
- Slabs of Christmas Cake
- Treacle/Chocolate Sponge Pudding
- Savoury Items e.g. Pringles, Cheese Straws
- Gravy Granules
- Hot Chocolate
- Christmas Sweets/ Chocolates
- Shampoo
- Shower Gel
- Deodorants
- Soap/Hand Wash
- Toothpaste
- Toothbrushes
- Toilet Rolls
- Washing Up Liquid
- Washing Detergent (capsules, liquid or powder)
- Nappies Size 6
We do not require any baked beans, pasta, soup or cereal at the moment
Please can all food/drink donations be brought in at the beginning of the day, week commencing Monday 11th December. We will be taking all the donations to The Goodmead Centre, Orpington on the morning of Friday 15th.
