Year 4 Anglo-Saxon Workshop

On Monday 24th February Year 4 had an absolutely brilliant workshop all about their new topic on the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. The children participated in Battle Tactics and Formations, where they used shields and spears, dug up some Anglo-Saxon artefacts in the archaeological dig, played Anglo-Saxon games like Tafl and 9 Men’s Morris, and also participated in an Anglo-Saxon debate known as the ‘Witan’. A great day was had by all and the children learnt a considerable amount!
