National Poetry Day
The whole school celebrated National Poetry Day on Thursday 5th October. We all enjoyed listening to different poems, performing poems and creating our own imaginative poems.

The girls played their first league match of the season and put in a brilliant performance against Darrick Wood. It was a very close game with Darrick Wood winning 2-1. Well done, girls.
A mixed team of Year 5 and 6 children played at the qualifiers for the Bromley Netball Bees tournament. They won their group and have qualified for the finals in November. They won all 3 games and did not concede a goal. Well done!
On Thursday 28th September, Year 6 had a fantastic time at the Natural History Museum. We were fascinated looking at all the information about natural disasters and enjoyed the earthquake simulator. We also helped save the citizens of Volcano Town from disaster when they faced a volcanic eruption.
Our oldest children were captivated and inspired by Stuart Lawrence’s 2nd workshop of the day. Years 1-3 had a wonderful workshop with Stuart Lawrence focusing on how they could make a difference. 11 children from Year 2 took part in a football tournament at the Kent County Cricket ground. It was our first ever tournament we have entered for Bromley schools and the children played really well.
The Year 3 and 4 girls played really well at the Bromley schools tournament and came a very impressive second.
Years 2 to 6 enjoyed a First aid course today run by First Aid Friends. They learned about the recovery position, contents of a First Aid box, CPR and many other useful facts.
The Year 6 boys took part in a football tournament at Southborough Primary. In very hot conditions, they all played well.
